In a recent press release, Fox Walden, a joint venture between 20th Century Fox and Walden Media, announced a special promotional campaign for their upcoming film "The Seeker: The Dark is Rising."

Based on the series of novels by author Susan Cooper, the film focuses on Will Stanton, a young boy who, on his 11th birthday, discovers that he is the Sign Seeker, the one being responsible for guarding the Six Signs of the Light. When joined together, these Signs (stone, wood, fire, water, bronze, iron) create a force powerful enough to dispel the Dark forces that plague the world. Will must travel back and forth through time to find and protect the Signs.

To promote the film, Fox Walden has placed special content on the movie's official website (www.seekthesigns.com) that can be accessed only by entering the signs in the correct sequence. There are 7 correct sequences out of a possible 720 combinations. Registered users of the site (www.seekthesigns.com) should look for the sequences on anything promoting the film, including billboards, television ads and movie posters.

If you're stayed with me this far, I've included five of the Signs that, when combined with the last Sign, will unlock a special video on the website. Enter them in the order that they appear in the photo area of this article. The missing Sign (iron) looks like a feather quill and should be entered into the last position.

Good luck and happy hunting!

"The Seeker: The Dark is Rising" opens nationwide on Friday, October 5.

Yes, he is 11 in the books. On the back cover of the first "Seeker" book, it mentions that Will learns his true destiny on his 11th birthday. When Fox started the online promotion I mentioned, the press release also had Will's age as 11.

In the film Will Stanton is 14. Is he a different age in the books?
