Many parents believe that crawling is a milestone before walking, and almost expects their baby to start crawling after a couple of months. Although it's hard to believe, some babies don't crawl at all! It's not a worry though because they'll still learn to walk, and run perfectly and normally. As far as some people may concern, crawling is not a must before walking. In fact, some babies never get to the crawling stage when they start walking around the house! It all depends on your baby. Here are a couple of pointers to look at, and consider.

If your baby is sleeping in his or her back, they may sometimes never even learn how to crawl or it takes them a longer time to learn how to crawl. It doesn't really matter that much though as they will still learn how to walk later on.

Another reason your baby may not be crawling is that they have found another, perhaps easier way, for them to move around the house. Observe how your baby gets around the house. Maybe their just skidding around on their bum or roll on the floor. They may be arriving at their destination without even crawling just by rolling or skidding on their bum. If that's the case, there's no need to worry. One day, your baby may just learn how to walk. In fact, they may just skip the crawling stage! However, if you notice that your baby still cannot get around the house by the age of 1 (no rolling, skidding around their bum or any other ways) you may want to talk to a pediatrician about it.

Soem babies don't learn how to crawl before they learn how to walk!
