The days are hotand the nights are cold
I am alone
without you
I cry out for you
but hear naught
the tears well in my eyes
my heart breaks yet again
I close my weeping eyes
and I see you there
I see your eyes
I see your smile
I feel the warmth of your body
so very close to me
but only in my dreams
I drift into sleep
and I hear your voice
you say my name
you tell me that you love me
I love you too, Dearest!
you press your lips to mine
our lips part slightly
your tongue brushes against my lips
then mine against yours
you gather me up into your strong arms
we kiss
we make love
slowly
passionately
we lie there together
naked
in each other's arms
once more you say my name
once more you say that you love me
then it all fades
fades into blackness
fades into nothingness
I awaken with a start
terrified
terrified because you faded
because you were gone
my eyes focus
you are not there
the pillow where your head rested
it is undisturbed
you were never there
it was only a dream
taunting me
with my heart's desire
taunting me
with images of you
and the tears well up once more
the tears escape from my eyes
the tears trickle down my face
and I whisper
to the memory of you
I love you...
I love you.
