Knock! Knock!

Just now, as I was trying to figure out an article idea to write, I got a pounding knock at my door. I mean, literally, just now. I answered the door. There was a man dressed in a red and yellow jumpsuit thing who represented DHL, a delivery service. He asked for my husband, Jeremy.

My husband went to the door to receive what was sent to him: a thin package, like a thick manila file folder. The guy asked him if he was Jeremy. Of course, he said yes. The guy said he had to sign for the mail. Jeremy signed for it. I got nervous as I overheard this part. So I went and stood by the door.

I thought, "Oh great... A certified letter. What lawyer is suing me now?" Although, logically, I had no reason to fret a lawyer. Especially for being sued. Regardless, a certified letter that my husband had to sign for made me super nervous, with just cause might I add.

We closed the door, quickly. I wanted to rip the package out of his hands because it felt like he was moving so slowly. I was so nervous. Instead, I just merely told him to hurry up and open the package. As we stood by our front door, frozen in time, anticipating the unknown, Jeremy tore open the package flap.

As we peeked inside, at first, we had seen nothing. But then, after a closer inspection, we noticed a business style white letter at the bottom, hidden from the enormity of the rest of the package it had been shipped in.

It was a letter. It confirmed my fears. It was, indeed, a certified letter. Great. My life flashed before my eyes. Well, at least all the money that I had, mostly a few bucks on my AC account. I was already beginning to plan to pay off some lawyer for some act that I found to be unknowable for unknowable reasons. Instead of freezing in time, Jeremy pulled out the letter. It did not say who it was from. Oh boy. That is definitely a lawyer.

Jeremy, what felt like slowly, ripped open the white business envelope. I instantly breathed. When I seen the hint of several glossy coated pieces of paper, it was then that I realized, "IT WAS JUNK MAIL!!"

Discover Credit Card: They Have Taken it to a Whole New Level

This would be the Certified Junk Mail credit card Discover sent Jeremy via DHL. Explaining that all he would have to do is activate it.
