Final Goodbyes

The rain pours as the thunder roars outside
Much like the pain that crushes me inside
Tears roll down my cheek
As my knees begin to grow weak.
The fright of losing you is to hard to bare
Simply because of how much I care
The pain of losing you
Is much like losing half of me too
I think about the past
And how it went so fast
The laughs, the smiles and good times we shared
The insanity that made us not care
A shoulder to lean on
A friend to depend on
When I needed you, you were always there
This just isn't fair
They say God needs you more than I do
And somehow I believe that its true
It's something we all have to face
Your soul will soon be taken to a higher place
Though it's hard, I have to be strong
I know that you will be with me as I go along
I tell you that I love you as you close your eyes
It's time for us to say our final goodbyes

In loving memory of my brother Jason Nowling
