Group all of your recycle Halloween crafts together for a spooky centerpiece on a table or on your food buffet.
These Free Halloween candle votives are really for indoors and as always never leave candles unattended. Ever.
To Make a Halloween Mummy Candle Votive You Will Need:
White fabric strips or Toilet Paper
Tape
Clear glass jar
Black Marker
To get started you will need one empty clear glass food jar per Halloween candle votive. I like tot use an empty pickle jar or spaghetti jar. If you wan though, you can use existing clear glass candle votives. This Halloween craft will not damage the glass and can be easily removed once Halloween is over.
Now, take an old sheet or any white fabric and cut it into strips. You can also use toilet paper, which is already in one long strip.
If you are cutting fabric try cutting one nice long strip that is about four inches wide and a few feet long. Pull on the edges of the fabric to unravel it so your mummy candle votive looks frazzled and old.
You can also use gauze from the first aid kit for this Halloween craft project. An old t-shirt would work well also. Now, for some added age try soaking yoru white fabric in tea to age it. Don't do this with the toilet paper.
Now, take a black marker and draw two round black eyes about 1/3 of the way down from the upper edge of the jar. These will be the eyes of your Halloween Mummy candle votive.
Now, let the marker dry and start to wrap the jar with the toilet paper or fabric.
Simply stat at the bottom back of the jar. Tape one end of the strip of paper or fabric to the back of the jar. Now, start loosely wrapping the empty food jar like a Mummy. When you reach the eyes, be sure to lave a space so the eyes of your Halloween Mummy can peak out.
