I definitely put my hair through torture. Whether coaxing the waves into a curly style, or using the flat iron to smooth them out, I continually put my locks through the wringer. Add that to the fact that I hilight my naturally brown hair blond and you get the picture. While staying loyal to my usual hair care products, I thought I would add one to my normal routine. I saw Alberto VO5 Miracle Mist Heat Defense Conditioning Spray on the shelf at my drugstore and thought I would give it a try.

Alberto VO5 Miracle Mist Heat Defense Conditioning Spray is to be applied on damp hair before styling with any heat products. The bottle indicates that it is to be used before blow drying, using a flat iron or curling iron. Since I regularly use all three and have never had a bad result from Alberto VO5 products, I thought for sure I would be pleased with this product as well. Wrong!

Alberto VO5 Miracle Mist Heat Defense Conditioning Spray did absolutely nothing for my hair except make it limp and hard to hold a style. My hair looked and felt weighed down even though I sprayed lightly as the instructions say. After the first few disappointing results from the product, I tried again on another section of my hair using as light a spray as I could manage. Even though I was sure I had not used too much, I figured I would still try to lessen the amount of spray I was applying to my hair, hoping for a better result. This was not to be had. Alberto VO5 Miracle Mist Heat Defense Conditioning Spray not only did not improve the appearance of my hair, it made it much worse. My hair felt coated, weighed down and unclean.
