Your Own Place

Some poison, a gun, or a slash on the wrist

Will you end it all just because you are pissed

The life that you've lead has not been very pleasant

But you only have lived up to the present

The future is what you have ahead

If you end it now than you are just dead

Your life will be over, no happiness there

Just because you determined that life isn't fair

Guess what, you are human, and we all feel hurt

But only the cowards end up in the dirt

The rest of us create our own joy in this life

We don't run away at the end of a knife

We take the reins of the life that we lead

And through that control we are all freed

If your life feels to heavy for your shoulders to hold

Then you need to be strong and you need to be bold

For when you decide the direction you'll go

Then your reasons for death melt just like snow

You will go boldly forward on your own path

And the rest of the world will know all your wrath

Anger and hatred is not the way through

Confidence and peace is all that will do

You have control if you look close enough

It is time for you to call your life's bluff

Death will back down when stared in the face

And on this earth you will find your own place
