Looking for a quick weekend craft that combines nature with your unique personality and taste? Make a grapevine wreath branch decoration for your home. I made one of these decorations for the far wall in my formal living room and it always garners compliments from new visitors to my home. This is a very easy craft that requires no special skills. To make your own grapevine wreath branch decoration you will need the following items:

Three plain and unadorned grapevine wreaths (These are available at your local craft store)
Wide decorative ribbon in any color of your choosing
Any adornments you would like to attach to the wreaths
Hot glue Gun
Scissors
A branch from your yard at least a foot long

Your grapevine wreaths can be all the same size or varying sizes. I constructed my wreath using one larger wreath for the center and two smaller ones for the sides.

After choosing your grapevine wreath, the next step is to find a branch from your yard. The branch should not be too thin or too thick. Think about the size of the wreaths, the thickness of the ribbon you will be using and the space on the wall that you will be hanging your creation on. You want everything to be in proportion and be a visually appealing display when completed. Break off any protrusions from the branch and clean off any debris. You want a very clean branch to work with free from any sap or dirt.

Now is the time to use your hot glue gun and attach any adornments you have chosen for your grapevine wreaths. You can match the embellishments to the room's decor that you will be hanging the decoration in or simply choose any items that appeal to you and your personality. I chose tiny miniature peach colored roses that I glued in groups. Your local craft store will have endless items to choose from. Consider tiny seashells, dried baby's breath or bows.

I love this idea! Using a fallen branch from one's backyard is an excellent use of resources for the earth and the pocketbook.

When I hurt my back many years ago I learned how to make these. In fact I still have one hanging. Nice job:)
