The Hooked on Phonics Bus is Celebrating Hooked on Phonics' 20th Anniversary

Hooked On Phonics is celebrating their 20th anniversary. To do that they will be having a "Hooked On Phonics HOP Across America bus tour". This tour will visit ten cities throughout the United States and will offer those that attend the tour appearances several forms of entertainment. The tour was announced in a recent press release by Hooked On Phonics. The tour will kick off on August 18th in New York, and will continue through the first third of October with the final dates being October 7th through 11th in Dallas, Texas.

Hooked On Phonics will not only be celebrating their twentieth anniversary but they will also be donating to both their partner in the tour and other literacy groups. Over $1 million in reading programs will be distributed by Hooked On Phonics to libraries, institutions, literacy organizations and local programs as well as First Book. First Book is a non-profit organization working with Hooked On Phonics on the tour. Their mission is to give children of low income families the chance to read and own their first new books.

"Through this campaign and partnership with First Book, we're reinforcing what millions of parents already know -- Hooked on Phonics works. We want to continue to help parents and children build a strong reading foundation for their future success," said Chip Paucek, the CEO of Hooked On Phonics. "This campaign is about generating excitement around learning to read. With our new programs and the line of electronic learning toys from Zizzle, we're giving parents the tools they need to help their kids reach their full potential," continued Paucek.

When visiting any of the ten stops on the tour, guests will find several forms of entertainment. The Hooked On Phonics School Bus will have the latest reading programs and Hooked On Phonics electronic learning toys, which are manufactured by Zizzle. There will also be Hooked on Phonics reading experts to give tips to parents on how to get their children excited about the entertainment in reading.
