By 2010, Iran will likely possess a missile capable of reaching the US. Interpol will put a high priority on the detention of 6 Iranians and one Lebanese national, wanted for a 1994 bombing in Argentina. Negotiations in late January 2007 at Interpol's central office in Lyon France, involving Iranian officials and Argentine prosecutors and diplomats took place. Interpol will not ask for the detention of former Iranian president Ali Hashemi Rafsanjani, and ex-foreign minister Ali Akbar Velayati, Argenina's Clarin newspaper reported. The AMIA Jewish center bombing killed 85 people and wounded 300. No one has been convicted for the bombing, but a Buenos Aires federal court indicted 9 former Iranian intelligence agents and government officials, in late 2006.
