Dwarka is situated around 280 miles away from Ahmedabad, the largest city of Gujarat. The best way to reach Dwarka is by road through hired car, taxi, or the State Transport buses. It takes around 9 hours to reach Dwarka from Ahmedabad. There are many good hotels available here like Hotel Gokul, Hotel Prerana, and Swastika guesthouse. We stayed at Swastika guesthouse that is around 8 minutes walk away from the main temple. The good and reasonably clean room was available to us at the rates of Rs.250 ($10) per day for double occupancy. The food is no problem and you can have any type of Indian food here at Dwarka at various restaurants. Guruprerana is the most famous restaurant of all to enjoy all types of Indian delicacies. Standard Gujarati thali is also available at Milan restaurant at the rate of Rs.50 ($1.25) per person. You can have unlimited Gujarati food varieties to enjoy. The hot and cold beverages like tea, coffee, and cold drinks are available all through the day.
