If you want to keep track of your emails but you often get a lot of junk mail here's how you can stop that from happening. Go into AOL and create two different email addresses. Make sure to write down all the information like your user name and your passwords. You will pick one for all important emails. If you send out resumes or talk to friends use one email address which you only use for this purpose. The other email address is the one you will give everybody else. If you sign on to a website, use the non important email address.

Usually when you sign up for programs or you sign on to website they will give out your email address to other sites which will send you junk or spam mail. A lot of junk or spam will be sent to your junk folder but some will not. If you get junk mail to your inbox you can click on spam and send it in. This will make sure that the mail goes right into your spam folder. Sometimes important emails will also go into your spam folder. Make sure that you check both your inbox and your junk folder when looking for important emails.

If it comes to the point where you are receiving a lot of junk mail and you can't keep up on it, you will need to create a new email address. Make sure that you ask yourself, "Will this website send me a lot of junk email." If you've never been to the site before you will want to use your email address designed for junk email. You should also have some type of program which looks through to see how many of these websites will send you junk mail on a daily basis. For example, treasure trooper will send you thousands of emails each day.

If you start receiving a lot of junk emails, simply give the people that have your email the new email address. You can close the old email address and create a new one. You can have an email address through Yahoo, AOL and hotmail. There are also many others but these seem to be the most popular because they are free. I know I've been using yahoo mail for a long time and never had any problems. You can create a little picture of yourself as well as a security measure. Make sure that you choose passwords that are hard to guess so your friends don't break into your mail all the time.
