will soon be able to with a state site that is worth bookmarking (non Missouri residents are invited to check it out too!).

According to a recently published state.mo.gov press release, Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon has started a campaign that will help Missouri consumers stay on the ball when it comes to accessing information about product recalls.

On August 17th, Attorney General Nixon launched a page on his web site, ago.mo.gov/recalls, that will put all recall information together.

On this page anyone will be able to find information on recalls from tons of different sources, including, but not limited to, the Food and Drug Administration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Attorney General Nixon said, "Recently, we've seen recalls cover everything from pet food to children's toys. Health and safety often are very real concerns with these recalls, and consumers may miss seeing or hearing important information reported through the media. This Web page offers a one-stop resource for keeping tabs on exactly what products have been recalled and what consumers should do if they have any of the recalled products.”

What is also great about the web site is that it will be updated as soon as new information is available. Current recalls will also be updated when the federal agencies release updated news about them.

Keep in mind, this web site isn't just for Missouri residents. Anyone who is searching for information about recalls can visit this site. However, some of the recalls may only affect Missouri residents, but national recalls will always be listed.
