Embed:
Well you purchased new, expensive tires and you want to get the most out of them but you don't want to schedule an appointment, drive to the service shop, wait for the service and spend the extra money for the labor costs incurred. So you want to rotate your tires yourself and save the time and money. This procedure isn't complicated or hard and it's easily done. After all, you just want to get the job done. This procedure doesn't take very long and you want to make sure it's done and done the right way. To rotate your tires you are going to need some equipment and tools as well as a place to perform this weekend task. You're going to need a jack -be it a floor jack or your vehicles jack that can withstand your vehicles weight, a torque wrench, tire pressure gauge, a lug nut socket and breaker bar or wrench. Now that you have the proper tools and place to complete the service, you're going to want to check the tire pressure of each tire with the tire pressure gauge to make sure that they are all equally and properly inflated to the manufacturers recommended or suggested tire pressure and not to exceed the maximum tire pressure of the tire. You may need to add or remove air, to add air you are going to need some means to inflate the tire properly, be it you're air compressor or if you don't own one or cant obtain one, you can use the gas station or service shop air compressor for a small fee.
