Numi Herbal Teasans: Red Mellow Bush Flavor Could Help Ease the Pain of Chemo
Time marches on and I am diagnosed with cancer and start having severe stomach pains from the chemo. One of the drugs I was on can damage the lining of your stomach and intestinal tract. So I try to relieve the discomfort by chomping on Rolaids and drinking Maalox, but that doesn't help. Next I move on to more powerful prescribed medications, and those do little to allieviate the pain either. Nothing seemed to help and I'm gettin desperate by this time. Then I remember my cousin and her teasan stories and how she had said that one of them helped her indigestion. So I called my cousin and asked if she was still drinking that teasan stuff. She said yes and that she would send me several bags of each kind.
I am anxious now to try this stuff, and my poor mailman probably thought I was a stalker. If I was home when he came, I ran out the door and grabbed the mail before he even had time to open the mailbox. Finally my package of goodies arrives and I immediately start trying them, one at a time. I tried all of them and liked all except for the mint and spiced flavors, but the one that helped me the most was the Red Mellow Bush. It settled my stomach within minutes of the first sip. I also like that it is caffeine free. I had enough jitters going on with all the steroids I was taking as part of the chemo regimen. The teasan didn't completely take away all the stabbing pain but it certainly helped to make it bearable enough to where I could sleep for a while. It was quite a miracle find in my opinion!
I've recommended these teasans to several other "chemo-sabi's" of mine and they are all now drinking it. The favorite by far is the Red Mellow Bush ... there is something in it that helps with our tummies feel better.
What is a teasan?
