My husband is always spilling parts of his breakfast or lunch on his dress shirts. I get so upset when I have to throw away a beautifully good shirt because of a stain. When I saw Kelly Rippa doing a commercial with her husband to introduce Tide To Go, I could immediately relate to the situation! I could envision my husband and I eating in a restaurant, and my whipping out the Tide To Go pen when hubby got part of his meal on his shirt. (Of course I wouldn't sing the "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye" like Kelly did!)

What Is It?

Tide To Go is made by Proctor & Gamble. Until I purchased this product, I thought it was a stain pretreater. However it is not. Tide To Go is an "on-the-go" stain remover. The packaging claims it helps eliminate many fresh food and drink stains on the spot.

Product Description

The orange, white and blue "pen" looks like a permanent magic marker. When the orange cap is removed, the white tip looks like a yellow highlighter tip, with a slanted and beveled tip.

The pen doesn't hold very much product, it is only 10 ml, or 0.338 fluid ounces. For $3.99 a pop, that isn't very much product!

It has a slight odor, reminding me of rubbing alcohol, however I am glad to report tha it doesn't leave any residual odors on my clothing.

Directions For Use

The first step is to remove any excess residue from the garment. Next, press the tip onto the stain (the tip will push inward) to release the stain remover liquid onto the garment. Move the pen over the stain and let dry.

Ingredients

Your guess is as good as mine. All that is listed for ingredients on my pen is: biodegradable cleaning agents, contains no phosphates.

My Experience

This is a revolutionary new idea, getting rid of fresh food stains instantly! I only wish it worked better on all food stains. The best thing about this concept is that you can use it anywhere, you do not need any water nor does it require that the garment be washed immediately.

The small size makes it very convenient to stick in a purse, briefcase, or desk drawer. Unlike Shout Wipes, you don't need to get any of this product on your hands, and there is nothing to throw away when you are finished treating the clothing.

I've had a lot of positive experiences with this pen. I don't leave home without one in my purse. But then, I am usually talking about food and drink stains. I honestly haven't tried it on other things.
