The Melting Pot is a chain of fondue style restaurants with locations throughout the US and specifically 3 here in the metro Atlanta area (with one more opening soon). Three friends and I visited the Roswell location and were all delighted with the evening that unfolded.

The interior of the location is very dimly lit setting a very nice, comfortable mood and the booths are set out in such a way that you feel as though you are the only diners in the restaurant. In the center of your table is a hotplate where your fondue pot is placed and the items cooked before your eyes. There is something for just about everyone on the menu but we chose to go with the "Big Night Out" selection which feeds 4. You start out by choosing a cheese fondue. We opted for spinach artichoke cheese which is served with a selection of breads, apples, and veggies for your dipping pleasure. The cheese was excellent and we very quickly cleaned out the pot.

Next up, you get a salad of your choice. There are 5 to choose from and I went for the Athenian Salad which consisted of romaine and iceberg lettuce with ham, pepperoni, roasted red peppers, and olives all tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette and sprinkled with feta cheese. It was a fairly large serving and was again delicious.

After the salad we moved on to our entrees where you get to choose between a number of different choices including chicken, seafood, sirloin, vegetarian or a combination of all. I went with the chicken breast and we decided on a coq au vin fondue as our dipping selection. There was also a plate of veggies and numerous sauces served with the entree which nicely complemented our main selections. We were given very detailed instructions on how to prepare our individual items and once again everything was top notch.

This sounds delish! I would especially love the spinach artichoke cheese.

Sounds like a fun place - I like the "no rush" concept too. Some places try to get you in and out in an hour.
