If you're like me, you have the WORST experience in locating the perfect nude lip colour. My problem stems from not being able to find a colour that is truly nude on my lips. I find that most of the ones I see in the tube are orangey or peachy in tint, not really nude. Or I hit the other wall entirely, where the lipstick or gloss I find IS nude, but in the clear sense, meaning it goes on sheer, letting my natural lip colour show naked underneath all that shine (something else I am looking to avoid-I want a matte finish nude lip colour-sheesh!).

Besides, my natural lip colour is a DEEP RED that is made even more obvious by a sheer gloss-the entire reason I want to venture into nude lip colour to begin with.

Every "nude" lip colour I have purchased and tried has ultimately failed me. All are either pinkish, peachy, or orangey in tint, and all have failed to provide that non-shiny yet cake-less finish I am going for.

That doesn't mean I've given up though-not at all. It just means I've learned to improvise and come up with a way to accomplish the nude lip colour on my face the way I want it.

I've decided that the only way to accomplish a truly nude lip colour that is attractive and believable (I've never met a human being with orange or pink skin, so why these makeup creators make these tinted hues is beyond me) is to use concealer and hope for the best.

The results? Mama like!

what I've done is create a medium out of my lips and combine carmex and my actual facial concealer and mix them together in a small bowl, or the palm of my hand, whatever woks. I use carmex because it both moisturizes and isn't too shiny. Plus, I like the tingly feel of my favourite standby. After mixing the two of these ingredients together, I just put them on my lips (perfect shade, heck ya!) and off I go. For a more set, matte finish, I just simply brush a quick pat of face powder to my lips and I'm good to go!

omg i love this article. i've been doing this for months since i switched to a loose powder foundation. the foundation would feather around my lips and one time without taking the foundation off my lips i simply put on some chapstick and i loved the results. i never wipe the extra foundation off my lips now. and yes, i have used concealer as well, thats more heavy duty and works all day for me. one word of warning though. i recently moved to las vegas where it's dry as heck and everything, from beautiful northern cali, and it seems everything dries up here. i have oily skin and i have to moisturize! it's insane. so, my lips dry up as well, and if you dont go a day or so without putting some kind of moisture on your lips and then try to mositurize them back up, you get shiny hard cracked lips (you know what i'm talking about?) and then they get soft because the dry cracked lip look is so uncomfortable but the extra skin from your lips that dried up is still on your lips (bear
