Fall 2007 Fashion Preview

The Eighties are back, sort of. Familiar silhouettes long gone are back again. Fashion for Fall means some new turns and twists. The look for fall can be interpreted very fashion backward or simply individualist. Key accesories for every look are groomed, deliberate hair, leather or textured gloves, bags, and shoes, jeweled brocches or pins, and singular knits or long roomy pants with high waits.

Study old movies to get the look right. The new fashion look for Fall 2007 is precise, ladilike, updated. Makeup is a classic Hollywood palette from the 30's and 40's , with red lips and no fluorescent or Barbie colors. Hair is done punk short with whimsy or in snippy cuts close to the face. Blown out Farrah hair is over. Fall 2007 hair lives up to the classy clothes and rich looks. All the fashion collections show long deep parts in ashy blonde long hair with texture and shine or short architectural cuts. If it looks like Paris Hilton, it's wrong.

1. Cinched waists with big belts.

Fashion often used the belt to define the body or add color. Now belts are several inches wide, filled with belts and buckles, and made in noticeable leathers in glossy textures. The Fashion belt for fall says "notice me". Fall2007 is the season you will own a belt measuring at least four inches in width, maybe up to seven or eight. It might be made of metal, patent leather, feathers, high gloss patent, or some kind of gold or beaded constructions. The fantasy looks go to extremes, but what will trickle down into the mall will be correct for work.

This fall, don't forget the belt. The texture should contrast with the knits or flat pants or skirt material it goes over. Showy brushed art shapes, metal clasps, textured leather, inches wide, multibuckled equestrian influence, tied suede sashes all make a showing. The belt is no longer invisible or for jeans.The belt for Fall 2007 is put right at the waist, nowehere near the hips.
