Freckles can be found anywhere on the body, however, most freckles are located on the face. Freckles develop on children as they get older, and many times disappear at puberty. However, there are many people who have freckles as adults as well. While freckles can be very perceived as very cute by many, generally those who have them wish to get rid of them.
There are two types of freckles. The first type is called Ephelides and is of the genetic nature. These freckles are light brown or red and are flat. Ephelides freckles generally fade in the winter months. The second type of freckle is the Lentigines. This type of freckle is not genetic and is commonly known as age spots. Age spots are a result of exposure to the sun. This type of freckle will not fade in the winter months and are generally seen on older people.
If you have freckles and are seeking natural ways to help fade them try the following. Foods such as lemons, onions, cucumbers, and parsley when juiced can be applied to the skin, and this will help them vanish. Yogurt which you may have in your refrigerator is not only healthy for your body, it can be a means to fade those unwanted freckles when mixed with a bit of honey and applied to the face. This will create a type of facemask, which can be washed off after 30-45 minutes.
