Yes ladies and gentleman, Halloween is coming, and for those of you who go all out for the holiday are right now seeking the best Halloween props and decorations to add to your house of horrors...or just your house. However, in order to throw the Halloween party that people will talk about for years, you have to have good props. Heck, you don't even have to serve good food, but so long as your home is filled with all sorts of spooky props for peoples eyes to view, they will have a good time.

I'm sure all of you Halloween enthusiasts already have your fog machines, and your screaming Cd's, but I am sure most of you don't have the one prop that will have people scratching their heads and asking questions. That one prop is a simple, cheap, and freaky display; it's called an Alien In a Lab jar, and can be found almost anywhere on the Internet. I bought mine about 4 years ago, and today thanks to the world wide web, you too can add this awesome prop to your Halloween decor.

The Alien in a lab jar is a half gallon plastic jar. It is designed to look as if it came fresh out of Area 51, with the sticker on the jar to prove it. Also on the jar a toxic radioactive warning is labeled with an orange sticker to warn those not to open it.

The alien is made out of a hard rock like material. My alien has sat in his jar for 4 years in his yellow colored water without losing his color, or creating cloudy water.

The jar will of course come empty, it is up to you to fill it up and add red, green, or yellow food coloring. I went with yellow, and it looks spectacular.

Some alien in lab jars come with a base light. The base light is placed at the bottom of the jar and really will create a neat glowing display. I usually place my alien in a window sill with the light on, so people can see it from outside.

You can purchase this very alien in a lab jar at http://www.angelfire.com/vt/swalien1/labjar.htm.

Aren't they neat? They have really neat looking ones on ebay mostly. Some come with base lights, and the base lights really add a neat lifelike illusion to them.
