Clay Aiken Gay Sex Scandal Rocks American Idol

It has been rumored in the past that American Idol runner up Clay Aiken is Gay. All of the allegations have been continually denied. Then, it all came to a head on December 5th, 2005.

This is when beloved Clay was touring in Boston. After finishing up a show Clay heads back to his hotel room, which was located inside the Wyndham Hotel. At some point that evening he logs into a gay website designed for picking up other homosexuals. This site is the now infamous Manhunt.net.

This is where all the real good gossip begins.
So Star magazine breaks this story about Gay Clay. The embarrassing story not only features actual snippets of the IM’s that took place between Aiken and his potential lover but also some terrible we-cam shots featuring a slightly flabby, pasty Aiken less than fully clothed!

But Wait! That’s not all! So for the 2006 Idol finale, featuring Hicks vs. McPhee, rumors flew that Clay (who was supposed to perform) may be pulled from the finale due to a new break through in this case. It has been said that AI producers (Hmm...Simon Fuller?) doesn't want the media involved. In fact, American Idol forbade reporters from asking Aiken about his gay sex scandal during the finale! So what are the options? Smuggle Clay in a secret entrance?

UPDATE: Well as we all know, Mr.Aiken did perform at the AI finale.  However he looked like "a whole new man" - is he trying to make it hard to remember the december incident?
