How to Look 10 Lbs. Slimmer in 24 Hours

Every once in a while, a special occasion comes before we are quite ready for it. You can diet and exercise for months, all to come up just a few pounds shy of your goal weight on the day of the big event. This doesn't have to ruin your day, however. There are several tricks and tips that can be used to give off the illusion of a much slimmer silhouette in just twenty four hours. In order to appear ten pounds slimmer, which is quite a feat, all over body toning and detoxification are in order. Rid your body of excess fluids and tighten those muscles as much as possible. The day before your event, start your morning off with stomach toning exercises. The best stomach toner is a modified version of the crunch. Lie on your back and raise your legs into the air, with knees completely bent leaving your legs in an "L" position. While raising your body for your first crunch, slowly extend your left leg all the way out and twist your abdomen so that your right elbow comes completely across your body. Rotate legs and repeat at least fifteen times. Next, complement the routine with about twenty five crunches, doing more if you are able to do so. Finally, introduce your entire body to a great toning experience through "wall sits," a popular exercise for athletes. Simple place your back against the wall and squat into a sitting position, making sure that your legs are not too far apart and that your behind is not lower than your knees. Imagine that you are literally sitting in a chair. Hold this position for thirty seconds, relax, and then repeat. Do this routine again right before bedtime, the next morning, and immediately before you get dressed for your event.
