1. Furry sweaters.

Solid knits of thin or thick type will work. Sweater sets can be trimmed restyled or modernized. Any bright color can easily find a matching accessory scarf in today's new designs.

2. Jewel tones

Royal blue, purple, wine, black, and brown. Caramel colors, beiges, silvers, etc. Blue colors should be dark and subtle, not light or neon. Black geometric knits and designs that feature offbeat colors will work into fall color stories.

3. patent bags & shoes

P{atent leather in handbags and shoes grabs attention, reflects light, and contrasts texture with knits or furs or silks. Patent leather bags can wear a lot of daily wear.

4. Mary janes

Mary Jane flats and stacked heels in every color can work. Kneee socks and tights work in contrast so any color can work. Brights and darks can work. Shoe detail is more important than ever.

5. ankle boots

Any type of low boots in decent condition can work. Cuffs can be applied over the top from other sources or from leather shops. The studs and feathers and fluffy trim can be applied or changed to form different boots.

6. Art deco jewelry

The contrast in texture is what makes jewlery important this season. Worn against fur or tetured wool or knits, jewelry has more function than the neck chains of recent seaons.

7. Brooches and bead accents

Designer beads and brooches can work to coordinate a look. By finding special jewelry a simple sweater becomes a look.

8. Black and white

Bland white plaids, stripes, and houndstooth plaids will work. Worn against black pants or a long skirt make the look. Any black piece in reasnably good shape can complement new pieces cut up to the minute.

Black and white is a big trend for fall. White collars and black sweaters and jackets, or black jackets and pants can become a great look. Dress boots and bracelets or watches can bring the tailooed detail.

9. Satins and silk fabrics

The negligee with fur trim dress look is a big couture look.Any fabric with silver, charmeuse, satin, and georgette can be used for fall fashion. The shiny fabric can be constructed into a garment that looks expensive.

10. Jackie type suits
