2007 CMA Awards Tickets on Sale; Nominees Announced August 30th

Country music fans unite! The 41st Country Music Association (CMA) Awards will be broadcast live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 8:00 to 11:00 PM, Eastern Time on ABC and members of the public can join the festivities!

For the third year, members of the public can attend the CMA Awards show, live in Nashville. Tickets will be available beginning Thursday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. Ticket prices begin at $164 (excluding any service or handling fees), with the better seating levels commanding higher prices. The tickets can be purchased online from Ticketmaster (www.tickemaster.com), or in person at the Sommet Center box office, which is located at 501 Broadway in Nashville.

This is the third year that members of the public can purchase tickets and enjoy the festivities of the awards show. Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Operating Officer said that, "Having the public attend the CMA Awards adds an extra level of excitement to 'Country Music's Biggest Night....the enthusiasm of the fans mixed with the anticipation of the nominees creates an exciting evening for everyone."

The final nominees for the 2007 CMA Awards will be carried live from both the ABC "Good Morning America" studios in Times Square, and the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday, August 30th. The nominees will be announced during the 8:30 a.m. half-hour of "Good Morning America."

"American Idol" Carrie Underwood won both the Female Vocalist of the Year Award and the Horizon Award, which is given to the artist that demonstrates the most significant creative growth and development in Country Music. Musical group Rascal Flats won their fourth consecutive Vocal Group of the Year Award, and singer Keith Urban won his third consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year Award.
