Fall is one of the best seasons to have a warm and intimate wedding and reception. It is the time of year where families spend more time together. It is also a very romantic time of season. Below are some ideas and suggestions to help you along the way.

Location

Think of children's fairytale settings. A fall wedding can be informal yet be luxurious in the setting of a old barn. Orchards, old churches and parks also provide places that give you the foliage look for fall.

Setting For Your Fall Wedding

Chose traditional fall colors rich in reds, browns and orange. Ivory is also recommended instead of the traditional white. You can fill the room with pumpkins, acorns, gourds. You can also purchase ivory material to cut in strips, tie in simple shoestring bow for the pews or seats if you wish. You can also purchase inexpensive color gauze or netting at your local fabric store. Use it as bunting for the entry way or to drape the tables. You may also add leaves to the netting to create a inexpensive but elegant appeal.

Wedding Flowers

Roses, mums, daisies both natural or dried are very inexpensive in the fall. You may wish to use "Leonardis Roses" in your wedding bouquet. These are a natural flower that provide beautiful fall colors. Make sure you request some that are half opened to make your bouquet. Buying a growers dozen ( usually 25 flowers and only 25% higher than a regular dozen). Simply wrap the stems together with lace in your colors. Add some leaves or foliage if so desired.

Your centerpieces can be made with the purchase of dollar block florist foam. Simply wrap the base with some gauze and insert the stems of brightly colored fall leaves.

Fall Wedding Apparel

Since it is autumn look for a wedding dress in ivory or off-white. You may wish to chose one with jewel tone accents or gold beading. Your bridesmaids will look great in deep rich fall color dresses such as burgundy or forest green. If using tuxedos, have the vests match the bridesmaids dresses.
