Praise for Target Makeup Line Designed by Sonia Kashuk

I'll admit, I am no makeup snob. I do not purchase my makeup from top-name designers in department stores. I just don't have the budget at this time. Therefore, it is important for me to know which brands found at your local Walgreens can hold up to their marketing campaigns.

For a long time I was a Cover Girl, I never strayed. I was so enthusiastic when the new mascara wands appeared, the bristle-less, rubber-spiked design was supposed to leave your lashes clump free and voluminous. I stuck with the new brand long enough to realize that the everyday occurance of "dust" in my eye, was only the product flaking off in my eye.

From there I switched to Maybeline, known for their flashy pink and green mascara wands and professional usage. They too had released a new wand, and like a fool, I bought two, one for my bag, one for home. Again, I have to say; I wasn't all that pleased with the product. After talking with my mother, a woman who nearly always purchases "good, designer" makeup, I decided to purchase Revlon mascara. After all, Revlon appears to be the top dog of convenience store makeup. Unfortunately, I must be allergic to their product, because I swear the fumes from the mascara made my eyes water. This product, also said to be waterproof, would smudge off and leave me with large bags under my eyes.

Finally, I decided to start asking around, talking with my friends to figure out which products they purchased. A friend of mine, a young designer for Target, told me that I should try Sonia Kashuk's mascara. I was a little hesitant, teasing her that she was merely plugging her company, but still I had Kashuk's blush, and I had always been happy with the product. Eventually I headed out to target and was pleased to find that the mascara comes in two options, one with a mascara comb at the other end, the other has a wonderful eyeliner attached.
