Luxor Amun Rising is a fun and addictive game. However, if you're constantly dying in Luxor Amun Rising or can't rack up the points, it can be a very frustrating game to play. Here are a few strategies for improving your game-play technique.

Work Fast

Many people try to find chess-like strategies in this game of skill, only to discover that it causes them to lose all their lives rather quickly. Instead of always trying to find the best combos, it's better just to destroy as many combos in the game as humanly possible. So when you shoot your colored ball out of the winged scarab, try to shoot it at the first available balls of the same color. Even if it's not the best opportunity, you're much better off than waiting ten seconds for the better combo to arrive. Waiting too long to shoot your balls will result in an untimely death for your scarab.

Lead the Balls

One of the most common errors in Luxor Amun Rising is to shoot directly at a single ball, or a group of two balls. This results in your missing the ball or balls altogether, and landing your ball in a spot that is too far behind to make a match. You can lead the balls by going just a half a ball to a ball ahead of the ball you want to hit. That way you're more likely to get your ball right where you want it.

Hold the Mouse Cursor over the Ball

The mouse cursor is a very good indication of where your ball is headed. It very accurately aims your ball where you want it to land, and is almost like a free speed-shot ball, without the speed. As in the previous tip, remember that your balls are moving and lead them a little if necessary.

Click the Right Mouse Button

This is an important strategy to increase your success in the game. The winged scarab in Luxor Amun Rising holds two balls, not just one. So when you click the right mouse button you may come up with a better color than you had ready previously.

Check the Balls at the Base of the Scarab Often

Luxor Amun Rising can't take you to Egypt, but it can make you feel like you're there.
