Have you ever before seen so much hoopla, so early regarding a presidential race? There has not been, and here's why. It's never been so necessary for both parties to wear you out early as it is right now. In the history of national elections there has never been a better vetted field of would be successors to the throne of imperialist democracy as that field which exists today. Both sides have their reasons for wishing to fatigue you, and I will do my best here to explain their positions:

The Democrats don't want you to know that Hillary Clinton is the shoe in for the nomination. To say so now would be the purest of arrogance on their part and that would not bode them well in a political climate in which politicians on both sides of the aisle have so little reason to be arrogant. Furthermore, in order to have a fighting chance at winning the presidency, Hillary will need a running mate whose coffers are filled with cash. As such, she is content to grow her war chest, make a bare minimum number of appearances, and to sit in the center of the ideological field, appealing to both sides of the aisle for as long as she can. We want her to get dirty, but she and the entire Clinton political machine are far too savvy for that.

Barak Obama has as much chance of being the next President of the United States as Gary Coleman had of becoming Governor of California. It has nothing to do with his skin color, but everything to do with his experience. A few years in the state legislature and two years in the United States Senate dos not qualify you to be the President of the United States. Everyone who knows anything, with the notable exception of Obama himself, knows that. Oddly, while his skin color will not preclude him from becoming President, it is a large part of why his orations were given credibility in the first place.

Takeaways
  • Hillary Clinton has a long road to travel
  • Barak is not electable
  • The Next Presidential election will be all about Race
Did You Know?
Black America has never voted in droves because Black America has never felt they had a true voice!

Don't take this the wrong way, but I am a critic by trade and this writing (your style in general) is lacking a bit. I was really hoping to find a better piece inside your craft but see that it is definitely not what I was looking for. I hope you will try and hone it for everyone's interest... Lest you're trying to write as a whim instead of a serious profession. Please don't quit your day job.

Damn nice analysis. Think we'll attack Iran before or after Condi takes her new title?

When it comes to politics apathy is not the same thing as withdrawing in disgust. What got me out of that and registered as a Republican was to vote against George Wallace in a primary election. According to your article, that meant it was known I could be manipulated into doing just that. There are still people working to get Congress to impeach Bush and I looked at the early start as a welcome beacon the end is near, rather than a ploy to wear us out.

If Rudy G is our next Pres, I will believe that voting and all of that is a waste of time, because of behind the scenes stuff. I am aware of government control of media to spread propoganda to sway the citizens to do their bidding for reasons kept hidden from us. Edwards and Clinton had a whispered conversation after a debate stating that there were "too many of them" or 'outsiders' with their hats in the ring. So it seems that individuals can still join the fray of their own accord.

And by the way, I wish there were MORE fist fights on the Senate floor. That would show some indication of passion for a chosen set of beliefs instead of a mere power struggle for power's sake.

Congresspeople are a different breed than political strategists. the real work of politics doesn't take place between the baby kissers, but between those who would kill today's babies for the sake of the babies of the next generation. In other words, all of this is happening behind the scenes... not amongst the faces of politics.

It might seem reasonable to believe that all of Congress and both parties are capable of a big plot to fatigue the public, but gee, the guys can not agree on anything and even break out into fist fights on the Senate floor, so how can we believe they could agree to a "we have to put a black guy on the ticket to win..." theory?

Hillary, I believe has had her eye on the Presidency ever since she was First Lady. Barack decided to throw his hat in the ring, because "everyday people" urged him to do so. "Experience" or lack thereof, was a political campaign tactic. Unless the election gets fixed through fraud as has been done in the past, neither Rice nor Clinton has a shot at the seat, because they are seen by the voters as being part of the GWB clan of government corruption. Most people are aware of media bias and quite upset with "planted" stories to sway public opinion. Those are the things I learn by visiting forums, reading blogs and so on. I would be quite willing to vote for Cynthia McKinney, but she is not running in this election.
