Many men first begin to notice visibly thinning hair and receding hairlines as they approach their early to mid twenties. While it is common for middle aged men to allow their hair to naturally go bald, younger men often look for methods to try and hide visibly thinning hair and receding hairlines. These are some methods which I have tried myself to hide my visibly thinning hair and my receding hairline. While many younger men have the desire to prevent visibly thinning hair and receding hairlines, the costs of hair replacement therapy and other medical procedures is well beyond their means. Younger balding men are forced to come up with creative methods to hide visibly thinning hair and receding hairlines. The following are some handy tips that I have learned on my own, as well as some tips that were given to me by my hairstylist, as well as my doctor.
One of the best methods that I have found to hide my visibly thinning hair is to use volumizing shampoo and hairstyling products. While these products do not actually help to restore hair loss, these products can give the illusion that you have more hair than you actually have. I have found that using a small amount of any volumizing hairstyling product after a shower, or before bed works really well to give my hair a full, healthy look.
The type of hairbrush you use can also help to create the illusion that you have more hair than you actually have. Hairbrushes made from long plastic bristles spaced far apart will work the best to give your visibly thinning hair a nice, healthy full look. Use your hairbrush to brush your hair from the root of the hair outwards toward the tip of the hair. For added faux volume, you may want to use a small amount of your favorite mousse or gel before you begin brushing your hair.
One of the most often overlooked things you can do to give the illusion of thick voluminous hair is to consume foods with high amounts of proteins such as meat and eggs. These foods give volume, thickness, and shine to any type of hair to give the illusion of healthiness.
