In a florist's eyes, the purpose of a flower is to amaze the receiver in a timeless expression of compassion. Over the ages, flowers such as roses, tulips, and orchids have been presented to one another as gifts on funerals, weddings, and other special occasions. The act of giving fresh, dried or sometimes even exotic arrangements of flowers has become far too complex for the average person to understand. This factor, along with many others, has led to the creation of the florist; a person that knows and understands all of the complex rituals behind giving flowers. Some florists may offer ornate birthday arrangements wrapped in silk, whereas other florists may deliver bouquets of orchids wrapped in origami paper. Florists are often very sympathetic, and will be prepared to help you with any event that may spring up.A florist can be thought of as a professional that specializes in flowers. Upon entering a florist's shop, one may be bombarded with a flurry of arrangements and bouquets that may leave the unprepared individual utterly dazzled. However, none of this should cause you any worry because a florist's shop is set up to help you. After answering a few basic questions the florist will help you determine what arrangement or bouquet is right for you. In some cases, it may surprise you to know, that the delivery of a single rose has more impact than that of an entire bouquet. In other cases you may learn that a complicated bouquet of tulips and orchids may be far more appropriate than that single rose. A florist may be able to find the most appropriate arrangement for almost any occasion.
