I purchased the Johnson & Johnson's Buddies Easy Grip Sudzing Bar because of a coupon that appeared in Parents Magazine. I had wanted to try it, but got distracted by other bath products. I must admit, I am not a fan of bar soap in general. I was only too glad to say good bye to soap caked soap dishes and slyly made the switch to liquid soap instead, without a peep from my husband. I just couldn't stand touching a gross feeling, slippery bar of soap any longer and made the switch to liquid soap for everything - shower included.

So, when I saw the coupon, I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a try. It was a novel concept to me, a bar of soap that would not be gooey? I was pleasantly surprised at how this bar soap performed.

Appearance:

The J&J Buddies Easy Grip Sudzing Bar is perfect for little hands. The bar soap is encased in a gentle feeling breathable mesh and lathers up perfectly. Not too much, not too little. In addition, due to the design, encasing the soap ensures that if it does happen to get gooey and caked up, it stays inside that mesh and doesn't deposit onto your soap dish or soap place in your shower. The bar is smaller than a bar of regular Ivory soap, but remember, this product is designed with kids in mind. I tried to squeeze the bar out of my hand just to see how slippery it would be and could not do it. You really do get a good gripping surface when you buy this product.

Scent:

The Buddies Bar smells very nice. It does not have a perfumy smell to it, rather a light fruity smell. It has a light melon scent.

Ability to clean effectively:

No complaints here. Both of my children used this product in the tub and came out smelling like a rose, I mean melon.

Cost:

The J&J Buddies Easy Grip Sudzing Bar is the most inexpensive children's bathing product in the Buddies line. The cost of this bar of soap is approximately $1. With the coupon I clipped from Parents Magazine the cost was free.

Conclusion:

Product Review: Johnson & Johnson's Buddies Easy Grip Sudzing Bar
