Halloween can be such a fun time for children, just the concept of dressing up in costumes and the anticipation of the amount of Halloween candy that they are about to receive is enough to put a smile on most children's' faces. However, a quick look at the parent's face will simply tell you whether or not they feel the same about the Halloween holiday. Parents often have visions of dollars flying out of their pockets and wallets at the mere mention of the word Halloween costume. The thought of spending a lot of money on a Halloween costume can put anyone in a bad mood and in a hurry. Take a trip to your local Wal-Mart, Target or K-Mart department store and have a look around at the array of Halloween costumes that they have to offer.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a store bought costume, I have bought many throughout my years as a parent. It is simply that the prices of Halloween Costumes are slowly rising, with the average store bought Halloween costume costing anywhere from $10.00- $20.00 easily. The more complex or popular the Halloween costume becomes the more money you will have to spend. That brings me to the topic of this article, Halloween costumes that you can create for your children that are centered around sweat suits. Most of these Halloween costumes will require other items in addition to the sweat suit, but the cost of these items are very inexpensive. An example of some of the things that you may need other than the sweat suit are: poster board, masks, belts, face paint, fabric paint, glue, cardboard, newspaper, felt, printer paper, safety pins and cotton balls are just a few of the things that you may need in addition to the sweat suit. You may not need all of the items previously listed or may need something that is not listed at all. I will go into details in another article on exactly how to put together several of these Halloween costume ideas. Have fun!
