Survivor fans gear up for season 15 of CBS's hit reality drama, Survivor: China. Survivor: China premiers September 20, 2007, at 8 PM/EST. Mark Burnett has produced an exciting new season of castaways including a mix of well known personalities, blue collar workers, and athletes. Survivor: China begins in downtown Shanghai, China. The competitors then attend a Buddhist ceremony at HuangPu Mountain's Mi Tuo Temple. Would be survivors will then be separated on islands at Ahelin Lake, in the Jingxi Province.

Host Jeff Probst returns to host the show and issue the challenges. Fans have fallen in love with Jeff's good looks and matter-of-fact style with contestants. The latest buzz about Jeff has been about Jeff's relationship with Julie Berry, a contestant from Survivor: Vanuata.

It is all work for host Jeff Probst when it comes to Survivor: China. The show will have its share of intriguing twists and pitfalls. A handsome cast of men and women will be assigned to competing tribes. Their ultimate goal is to "outwit, outplay, and outlast" each other. The castaway competition has never failed to reveal the ugliness lurking beneath the beautiful faces. This season should prove no different. Some viewers await sexy swimsuit shots and sneak peeks at the hunky men. Mix the beauty-fest with back-stabbing drama, alliances, allegiances, and betrayal, and Survivor: China will be another addicting season.

Hardcore survivor fans speculated early on that this season might be another cast of All-Stars, or previous survivors. The castaways on Survivor: China are no longer a secret.

The highest profile player is former WWE wrestler and Playboy magazine cover girl Ashley Massaro. Ashley brings beauty, body, and brawn. Pulling from her WWE smarts, Ashley looks good going into the competition. Can she find the grit to Survive the challenges? Or will smart contestants, looking out for their own survival, vote her off early? If I were hedging my bets, I'd count on CBS ensuring Ashley Massaro lingers for a good part of the season to pull WWE viewers and Playboy fans.

Is it just me or is this season slow? Is the premise for Survivor getting old? Curious what others think.

I would be happier going there than seeing that horrid show on TV.

This is a detailed, interesting review. I've seen such lovely pictures of China from friends who have taught English there. It looks like such a beautiful country. Sophie
