You're at your favorite rock band's show who are playing one of your favorite songs that gets you really pumped. So you go into the middle of the crowd and start moshing but you're suddenly, and rudely, interrupted by some punk whining at you to stop pushing them. The whining becomes contagious and another group of people start blabbing the same tune. You stand there dumbfounded and think, what the hell just happened?

It seems that's whats happening to the mosh pits of today. You're having a good time, not intentionally trying to hurt anybody and you hear the bitching and moaning of how you're invading your fellow concert-goer's space....man. It's stunning to hear someone complaining in a general admission audience that you're standing too close to them. The whole fucking venue is sold out and you actually think you're gonna have your own section cornered off just for special you?

I'm not talking about situations where concert-goers get seriously injured cause some idiot decides to do a ninja mosh...I'll talk about this in a future article. I'm talking about a normal, old-school circle pit without the theatrical kicks and fist swings. Lately, when I'm at a show, I hear that damn annoying voice, usually from a girl or her boyfriend because he's pussy whipped and his balls are in a jar by his girlfriend's nightstand, telling someone behind them to stop pushing.

I don't understand and it boggles my mind that someone would have the balls to say something like that. I say "have the balls" because it takes guts to let the world know you're a retarded vegetable. I don't know if the heavy metal crowd deals with this crap but I like regular and hard rock n' roll so I'm only going by what I see at those shows.

Takeaways
  • People who complain about moshing should be shoved out of the crowd.
  • Don't let people who can't take the pit tell you what to do. Just push them out of the way.
  • If you see me at a concert make sure you get me to the front :)
