You may find dread-locked hippies playing board games, businessmen in suits discussing politics, college students on laptops or workers enjoying a beer after their shift. The overwhelming vibe of Langdon Street Café is mutual acceptance. Langdon Street Café is a comfortable place to stop by for refreshments, free live music or just to sit down and relax without feeling pressured to buy a lot of stuff.

There are a number of cafes in Montpelier, but Langdon Street Café offers the perfect blend of ecelectic atmosphere, comfort, delicious and organic refreshment, and entertainment. With free live music every night, drink specials, board games, and free wireless internet, Langdon Street Café has something for everyone. Maybe that's why so many different people come in.

On Langdon Street in downtown Montpelier, Langdon Street Café offers a variety of organic and fair trade coffees, beers, and menu items. You won't get a full sit-down meal here, but they have great sandwiches including classics like grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly. They also have awesome organic, local, and vegan cookies, brownies, and other baked goods. The vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies are unbelievable.

The coffee at Langdon Street Cafe is delicious and reasonably price, and they also offer a variety of tea and coffee drinks. You can order tea by the cup or pot. I'd recommend the Maple Chai Latte. The beer is a little on the expensive side, but on Wednesdays they offer discounted prices (Pabst Blue Ribbon for $2, all other pints $3.) The bartenders are usually helpful with picking out a good, local brew.
