As most college students have come to find out, the price for a single textbook at the university bookstore can sometimes be a bit overwhelming as well as a big hit to a student's thinning wallet. The funny thing about all this is that we spend hundreds of dollars on textbooks that we only use a few times during a semester then sell them back to the bookstore for a drastically reduced price. To me this just seems ridiculous as well as unjust. We already have enough trouble paying tuition and fees let only living expenses such as dorm rooms/apartments, groceries, and gas among others.

However, we now have a choice. With the help of the Internet, students can now buy their textbooks through various online bookstores. Yet one website in particular stands out among the rest. Bigwords.com has made saving students money their number one goal in life by offering an extensive search engine that filters through multiple Internet stores to give students the best price in what matters most. All a student has to do is go to the website, enter in the ISBN of their textbooks, which is usually found on the back of the book, above the bar code (samples are shown on the site), before finally allowing the site's "Uber-bot" to filter through various sites in search of the cheapest matches.

Personally I believe that this site is revolutionary. There finally seems to be relief from high prices without the hassles of signing up for all the useless junk that comes with most other sites. That's right, there's no log in process to slow things down. You just go to the site, fill out the information on the books, compare prices, and fill out shipment information then wait for your books to arrive. For me, this site is a life saver. I'm enrolled for 15 credit hours, which means five classes and at least five books. The other day I looked at how much each book was selling for at our bookstore at the university and everything totalled around $530 roughly. So I jotted down the ISBN of each book, went home, went to www.bigwords.com and found out that by using that one site I could save about $200 on textbooks alone!
