the window to other doors
air, sea, land - all paths
dwindling and determined
sinuous metal dust dirt path
to treasure maps of the mind
open heavens rain not wet
ringing sounds and silence
wrap like present paper
awaiting strings and bows
of outrageous fortune
box of gold at no rainbow's end
winding crank turning path
anticipating jack in the box
dull surprise at no pain
in the sun standing
soaking comfort onward life
