When you win the Super Bowl, your perspective on the NFL seems to change a little bit. Sometimes for the better; sometimes for worse. With the Colts, their focus in 2007 is clear: defend the title. This might become a tough prospect because in the NFL there is no team more vulnerable than the hunted. Ask Pittsburgh about their season last year. However, when a team has a quarterback like Peyton Manning and the veteran presence in the locker room, it's definitely not impossible. With a lot of new faces in some familiar places, the Colts will have to battle attrition and return to the mountaintop with teams around them improving their own chances. Can the Colts survive and re-claim their Super Bowl title in 2007?

Indianapolis Colts
2006 Record (Standing): 12-4
2006 Postseason (If app.): Defeated Chicago (Super Bowl XLI)
Head Coach (Career Record): Tony Dungy (114-62; 60-20 w/Indianapolis - 6th Season)
Key Additions: WR Anthony Gonzalez (draft; 1st round, pick 32), OT Tony Ugoh (draft; 2nd round, 42nd overall)
Key Losses: CB Nick Harper (FA; Tennessee), CB Jason David (FA; New Orleans), LB Cato June (FA; Tampa Bay), WR Brandon Stokely (cut; Denver), RB Dominic Rhodes (FA; Oakland), DT Anthony McFarland (injured reserve), DT Corey Simon (contract terminated), S Mike Doss (FA; Minnesota)

Takeaways
  • The Colts have lost a lot of pieces, especially on defense.
  • Watch out for rookie receiver Anthony Gonzalez in the slot; he could have a big year.
  • Peyton Manning gives you a chance to win every game.
