The Suwanee location of the Olde Towne Tavern is the newest in a chain that are located around the metro Atlanta area. The name suggests something rather old fashioned and British but it is actually pretty far removed from that. It's all mod cons with flat screen plasma TV's dotted around playing every sporting event you could imagine. They have also chosen a prime location within Suwanee as it sits on the edge of the Suwanee Town Centre Park, a great meeting spot and hang out place for the locals.

Ambience : This really is a happening spot. I've been a number of times and on each occasion it has been very busy but without having the feeling of being overcrowded. They have a great feature on the bar side as they have massive windows behind the bar which slide open so that the people on the patio can also sit bar side. It's a tough spot to get a seat at as everyone makes a beeline for that very spot.

Food & Drink : Olde Towne carries a dozen beers on tap from local favorites (Sweetwater), to domestic beer (Budweiser), and a couple of different imports (Guinness among them) and has many more in bottle form. They also have a very decent wine and cocktails (margaritas, martinis etc.) to choose from and the cocktails especially seem to be in very high demand.

The food is mostly traditional pub fare and all very reasonably priced at that. I started out with a cup of chili which was very nice, not too spicy and covered with cheese and onions. A great value at only $3.95. I followed that with the Tavern Dip which is a basic beef sandwich with au jus for dipping. The beef was very tender and covered in melted Swiss cheese. I opted to have my sandwich blackened which consisted of sprinkling it with cracked peppercorn. I loved that but a quick word of warning, it does make the sandwich very spicy hot and may be a bit much for some palettes.
