You Too Can Lose Weight Fast with the Tapeworm Diet!
It is not an urban legend that people, especially women used to ingest tapeworm cysts (a baby tapeworm) to lose weight. The tapeworm eats the food that you eat but also gets the vitamins and nutrients that you need to live a healthy life. They also can grow to the length of the adult intestine and multiply profusely. Ascites create a large pool of fluid in your stomach as an immune response to something in your stomach that is not supposed to be there. For example if you have a large, creepy, disgusting, tapeworm in your stomach you will also have a disgusting pop belly. This is probably not what you were striving for when you were trying to lose weight.There was actually an advertisement for the tapeworm diet, in the late 1800s which suggested that you swallow a sanitized tapeworm as opposed to what, a dirty unwashed tapeworm? The ad shows a slim well-dressed woman who has reached her desired weight level.
In Japan some believe that their society has become too clean. They used to host all kinds of worms, and now because they are so antiseptic, they have all kinds of ailments. Skin allergies, asthma and other unwanted illnesses. They attribute this to the loss of worms in their bodies. Round worms, hookworms, etc they believe are actually good for their health.
There was a recent episode on Dr. House where a young girl had a fatal illness, which they couldn't cure. Dr. House finally came to the conclusion that she had a nasty lack of B vitamins and Schizophrenia, which he attributed to a tapeworm. They preformed surgery on her and "Walah!" He pulled a disgusting, putrid, elastic looking tapeworm out of her gut. If I would have ever been insane and desperate enough to ingest a tapeworm, or tapeworm segment, sanitized or otherwise, after seeing the thing pulled out of that young girl's stomach, I would never consider having a tapeworm in me. Not to mention I wouldn't want to be a human incubator for tapeworms. YUK!

You listen to other peoples jibber jabber, that's your problem! You should embrace being infected!!! In the 1800's everyone was infected and much more healthy than today. I'm infected and have a Tape worm. I call him my PARISITE PAL. Your never alone with a parisite pal and the weight falls off! You should embrace your worm, and join us!!! this is wrong. my girlfriend got a tape worm. she didnt know for a long time but was happy with the weight loss, untill the worm came out. for a long time i didnt know why i was losing weight, i went from 6 feet 160 lbs to 6 feet 135 lbs in 2 and a half years. at my age of 23 and physical condition this shouldnt happen. i have been tested 4 times and all tests came back negative meanwhile shes been treated and is now going through the neccessary stages to prevent reinfection. its a nightmare to have something eat your food. i would strongly suggest you learn self discipline and/or excersize to lose weight. keep ur fingers crossed and maybe one day i wont be sick anymore...

I'm sure you don't care about this a year later. But for future readers. Eat raw meat, very disgusting, it's cheap. The chances of getting a tapeworm are pretty low, but it's worth trying if you want to do this.

Well, lets put it this way. People say the best way to lose weight is to of course "eat healthy and exercise" .. When this is clearly close to impossible for Americans, expecially obese Americans. I hate it when people say that, after being obese and having an eating disorder attempting that is IMPOSSIBLE. I have struggled with an eating disorder for 8 years. Binge eating. I have been in therapy for 2 years. Do you think eating healthy and exercising will help me? No, it actually put me in a mental hospital. My point is, Americans have eating disorders. They can blame it on their genetics all they want. We don't eat because we are hungry, we are never hungry! We just eat because it's fun and comforting. Eating disorders are on the rise because society demands perfection. If you are fat then you are ugly, and stupid, and no good, and not worth loving. Don't tell me people do not think like this. Especially people of a normal weight. And doctors are horrible saying obesity kills you maki

I am a Veterinary technician and they are so gross.The poor animals get them from fleas.They eat a flea thats carrying the tapeworm then the tapeworms head called a scolex attaches itself to the intestine.the head begins making these segments called proglotids they break off an crawl out the anus they are always on the stool they look like flat white rice that is the egg packet like a motorized vehicle for the eggs like 1000 eggs its so gross they have to have injection of a wormer to get rid of it.In humans it can travel to eyes lungs ect. now that ive completley grossed yall out sorry
