Dubai can be found on the northeast shoreline of the United Arab Emirates. It is situated exactly within the Arabian Desert. The landscape of Dubai is mostly covered by sand dunes, unlike the gravel deserts that swathe the majority of the country's southern region. The city also possesses a myriad of other qualities that makes it stand out from the rest of the emirates. Tourists from the world over are in fact attracted to this genuinely exquisite and unique experience known as Dubai.

"What makes Dubai different?" The best way to answer this question would probably be to point out the things that Dubai is well known for, including those attractions that can only be found in this beautiful desert city.

Here are some of the factors that have elevated the city's status to become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

An Abundance of Gold

Dubai is one of the largest trade markets for gold. The most prominent gold bazaar in Dubai is Deira's Covered Gold Souk. The gold pieces range from Indian varieties to intricate Italian designs. Prices are known to ebb and flow habitually. The price for each piece basically depends on its weight, design, and craftsmanship.

World-renowned Luxury Hotels

The Burj al-Arab is a lavish hotel that stands on an artificial island in Dubai. It is deemed to be the world's tallest hotel and is very famous for its unique architecture. The building resembles a sail of a huge boat that appears to have set sail on the waters of the Arabian Gulf. In addition, it was apparently a symbolism of Dubai's urbanization.

Aside from the Burj al-Arab, there are over 250 hotels in Dubai. Some of these establishments belong to the world's most deluxe accommodations.
