Learning Spanish the Easy Way

This is an easy lesson plan for those who find it hard to learn a new language or are having troubles learning Spanish. The best part, it's all free.

One of the most important things to remember when learning a new language is to always practice. The more time you put into practicing, the better you will get. Improvement comes in time. To just know and be able to say things that are unfamiliar to you does not just happen over night. Trust me, I know.

These lessons are ment only as a means to help aide in your learning the Spanish language. It is not ment to make you a fluent speaker of the Spanish language. This is not a certified program. You will receive no certificate at the end of this lesson. These lessons are placed here solely to help you in your learning and understanding of the Spanish language.

To be able to pronounce the vowels:

A - Their A sounds like Ahh in the English language.

E - Their E sounds like the letter A in the English alphabet. Like the A in the English word ABLE.

I - Their I sounds like the letter E in the English alphabet. Like the sound the double E's in the English word BEE makes.

O - Their O sounds like the O's in the state OHIO.

U - Their U sounds like oo in the English language. Like the double O in the English word BOOT.

To know these vowels and to be able to pronounce them makes it easier to pronounce words in the Spanish language. Practice them often.

So instead of saying :

AEIOU - in the English language

It would sound more like :

Ahh, A, E, O, OO - in the Spanish language.

Don't be fooled though, they are spelt the same in both languages, just pronounced differently.

The short end of it, it's the same lettering, different sound.

Another thing to remember is that most H's in the Spanish language are silent.

Let's take for instance the Spanish greeting 'Hello'.

They say : Hola

To break it down in English : Drop the H. Now pronounce it as O and add LA. Remember the sound that O and A make in the Spanish vowels.

When you see two L's side by side, they usually sound like a Y in the English language.

Let's take for instance the Spanish word Llama.

You might hear it said in a sentence like this :

Como Te Llamas?

Which in English means : 'What is yourname?'
