To end the mystery, the Doritos Collisions assortment is nothing more than a handful of Hot Wing chips mixed in with a handful of Blue Cheese chips. I'd previously had the Spicy Nacho flavored Doritos so I knew that the Hot Wings flavor was probably going to pack a punch, I was right about that. The Blue Cheese chips were nice but if you are a Blue Cheese lover, chances are there isn't going to be enough flavor in them to satisfy you. I am assuming that there is an even distribution of each flavor in the bag so you can have one of the spicy ones then one of the smoother ones to cool things off. I am sure everyone will have their own game plan on how to tackle these.
The bags come in a 2 and 5/8 ounce size for .99 cents but when I checked the Frito lay website, they made mention that they were also available in larger sizes. I haven't seen either size in my local grocery store yet but I am sure they will end up working their way into the snack food aisle at some point in time. Is this something that I would purchase again? At .99 cents a bag, probably not. You go through them too quickly and the bits that end up at the bottom are all smashed up. When the larger bags arrive, chances are I will stock up on the Hot Wings / Blue Cheese combo for parties and late night snacking.
