Trader Joe's Dried Fruit: A Delicious and Healthy Treat
One of Trader Joe's best products is its wide variety of dried fruit. I was recently reminded of my fondness for dried fruit when I picked of a bag of Trader Joe's Dried Fruit Chile Spiced Mango.
I've been a Trader Joe's fan since the first time I set foot in one of the stores in Boston, Massachusetts a couple years ago. I found it to be a great place to buy dried fruit. Locations have since popped up in Metro Detroit
allowing me to have easy access to these healthy snacks.
There is a variety of Trader Joe's Dried Fruit including: candied ginger, organic banana chips, bing cherries, dried white peaches, apricots, pitted prunes, Bartlett pears, orange flavored cranberries and Chilean flame raisins. I have my favorites and I plan to try them all.
The most recent Trader Joe's Dried Fruit I tried for the first time was the Chile Spiced Mango. I love dried mango in general so the Trader Joe's package immediately caught my attention. During a recent shopping trip I found one lone package of Chile Spiced Mango on the shelf. I knew this had to be a favorite among Trader Joe's shoppers. The mango looked tempting and the chili powder generously sprinkled on each piece piqued my curiosity. How would the chili powder taste with the sweet mango? I would soon find out. I purchased a bag. The cashier said at first he didn't like it, but the flavor grew on him. I was willing to give it a try.
Soon after purchasing the Chile Spiced Mango I couldn't wait to opened the package. I bought a couple of items, but this was the one I wanted to try first. When I returned to my truck I opened the package and tasted the first piece of mango. It was much more delicious than I expected. The spiciness of the chile powdered blended well with the sweetness of the mango. The flavors complemented each other. The mango is spicy which I liked. I was hooked.
Bags of Trader Joe's Dried Fruit are reasonably price starting at $1.29. My 8 oz. bag of Chile Spiced Mango costs $1.99. There are seven servings per bag.
