In that part of the world where Dimple comes from, long hair belongs to Keats' category of " a thing of beauty is a joy for ever". It can offset a multitude of other inadequacies! But she has been waging a long and relentless battle with long hair.

Dimple had distinguished herself in college. Not in the matter of studies!! The distinction was thrust upon her by virtue of her raven black, thick tresses, which cascaded down her back, right down to her knees. At the college's cultural shows, whenever a bit player with long hair was required, she was an automatic pick. . Far from being the toast of the college, she was a "habitual offender" More often than not, this hair of hers, has only got her into trouble.

The Professor and Dimple used to walk into the class simultaneously. Huffing and puffing, Dimple would take her seat, acutely conscious of "Proffy's" piercing and disapproving look and the sadistic merriment of her friends. It was no use explaining to the scanty-haired Professor that brushing the "crowning glory" and braiding it, took time and effort and that was why she could get in only on the nick of time.

In those days, cutting classes was unheard of. There was one lecturer whose classes were so boring that even the best-behaved student would feel impelled to make an effort to escape the monotony. In a squeaky voice, the lady droned on and on, her sonorous tone, acting like an instant lullaby. Driven to despair, one day, Dimple along with some girls decided to cut her class. They knew it was fraught with risk. With hearts in their mouths, they stepped out of the class and scampered towards safe territory. The forty-five minutes they spent in that shrubbery seemed like paradise. But alas, their happiness was short-lived. Before the day ended they were summoned to the staff room. The esteemed lecturer whose class they had dared to cut made mincemeat of them.

My goodness. It's terrible. Not only is it poorly written (and edited), it is banal and, well, stupid, showing a deep degree of simple-mindedness and ignorance about the subject you're attempting to write about, making the result no more than a horrible sort of noise. Please. Give up. You embarrass yourself.
