This is a guide to the game of Conquest 1 at Funauthority.com. There are actually 2 Conquest games at Funauthority, Conquest 1 and Conquest 2. This guide concentrates on Conquest 1 as the 2nd game is new, and still in testing.

Conquest 1 is a free turn based (no disk is needed to play)online game at funauthority.com. This game has a long history and many players (like me) who have played more than 5 years. Not only does it have a long history it has it's own hall of fame, maintained by a player of the game. I am a member of the Conquest Hall of Fame and active players vote all members in.

The game is as I said free, but there are paying options. You can buy funcash (not redeemable as real money) or you can win it by finishing well in the game. The funcash can be used to buy additional countries or to by turns for a country already in use.

There are currently 3 servers to play on, each slightly different that the other. The object on all servers is to build a country or countries and finish at the top after each set. A set or round lasts roughly a month, and then the game resets to allow new players to catch up. The way you raise in rank to is raise your country's net worth. You do this by improving your country and or by killing or damaging other people's countries. People tend to not like being attacked and war often ensues.

The 3 servers are Individual Skill Server, Clan Skill Server (known as clans, and the most popular Conquest Server) and the Lightning Server. Skill server is a pure test of one on one skills. No clan action and no helping other players fight. You get only one country in Skill Server. Clan server has more countries at start up, and you can buy additional ones. Also you are encouraged to join a clan and help them fight, if they are at war. You and teammates can gang up on countries to kill them quickly. Lightning server is a faster version of clans. The turns come quicker so new players can play more, learning the game at a faster pace.

Takeaways
  • Conquest 1 is a free game, no disks or downloads required.
  • Some players have been playing for over 5 years.
