The Sims for PS2 is an awesome game where the goal is simply to get rich and retire. OK, maybe that's a little too simply stated, so I guess you have to read the whole review! This game has been out since 2003, so you can probably find a good deal on it now. It's definitely worth it.

Step 1: Creating Sims
To begin playing this game, you must first create your sims. Whether you are playing the "Neighborhood" mode or the "Get a Life" mode (both explained later), you need to know how to create a sim. You can create sims in your own image or the image of your friends and family. You can choose things like male or female, adult or child, skin color, hair color and clothing.

You can also choose certain attributes for your sim such as neatness, personality traits, etc. You can do this by choosing your sims zodiac sign OR you can just choose a sign and then edit it to fit your needs. For example, you may prefer your sim has more neatness points b/c the more points the sim has, the more he/she will clean up after himself without your manipulation.

NOTE: Once you design your sim, you can change it's appearance DURING the game by purchasing the VANITY TABLE.

Step 2: Learn how to care for your sim
Once you start playing, you will quickly learn that you must tell your sim to do almost EVERYTHING. Go to the bathroom, clean the dishes, fix the tv, sleep, EVERYTHING. If you turn on "Free will" in the options menu, your sim will sometimes do these things on your own.

Problems occur with Free Will b/c sometimes the sims will "forget" what you have selected him/her to do next. Once you learn to keep your sims relatively healthy and happy, you can focus on winning the game.

Step 3: Get a Life
I believe that when I first started this game, they make you play Get a Life for a while before you can play the Neighborhoods.
