H&M and Old Navy are both widely known for their super affordable and stylish clothing. Teens, tweens, children's, twenty something's, and even thirty something across America shop at these two clothing discounters.

So in a head on comparison of H&M and Old Navy would win. Style, pricing, and accessibility will be the main comparisons of these two trendy clothing stores.

Style

Old Navy is known for their trendy clothing as well as their staples, such as t-shirts and jeans. H&M is well known for their super trendy clothing and bright colors.

So, getting down to the nitty gritty here, Old Navy really does carry the more main stream and traditional in latest clothing trends. Jeans are a staple at Old Navy, as well as plenty of t-shirts.

The great thing about Old Navy is that even though they do carry plenty of fashion staples, they often carry fun fashion pieces, great floral, and tons of goodies and sweats.

H&M really does appeal more to the fashionable trendy crowd. Yes, you are going to find plenty of staples at H&M, like the jeans and t-shirts but the clothing at H&M takes a huge step beyond staples.

You will find the latest in European trends, edgy designs, and tons of mix and match fashion to complete a wardrobe. H&M also has a more extensive business clothes selection. So, H&M, you win this stage of the battle.

H&M also takes the prize for best accessories. I do not personally find their shoes to be comfortable, but you can find every thing form earrings to headbands to oversized purses in every color here. Pleather is a more popular material at H&M, while canvas bags seem to reign over at Old Navy.

Pricing

Price always has to be a factor when comparing budget clothing stores. One of the main reason s most people shop at clothing stores like H&M and Old Navy is for the great prices. Customers return for the style.

Both H&M and old Navy carry super inexpensive items like $9 t-shirts. There is always something on sale at both stores as well.

Jackets and blazers at both of these discount clothing stores can range anywhere from $30 to $60, depending on materials.

At H&M it's easy to fall bad trends. I think it's the opposite at Old Navy and especially GAP (same owners BTW). I mix those brands among others.

I personally love H&M clothes, minus the weird sizing :)

Interesting comparison. Maybe I'm not that trendy, but H&M is kind of a bore. Old Navy isn't the best, since there are better stores than both of these place. However, I would pick Old Navy over H&M any day of the week. Nice article.
